Privacy Policy

Folders & Search for Claude ("the extension") is designed to be private by default. Your data stays on your device.

What we store

Your folder names, the chats you assign to them, and any prompts you save are stored locally in your browser (via chrome.storage) on your own device. This information never leaves your computer and is never sent to us or any third party.

What we do not do

• We do not collect, read, store, sell, or transmit the content of your Claude conversations.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising.
• We do not operate a server that receives your personal data or chat content.

Exporting your chats

The export feature reads the conversation currently open in your browser and saves it as a Markdown or JSON file directly to your device. That file is created locally and is never uploaded to us or anyone else.

Payments

The optional one-time Pro upgrade is processed by ExtensionPay and Stripe. We never see or store your payment-card details. Please refer to the privacy policies of ExtensionPay and Stripe for how payment data is handled.

Permissions

The extension requests only what it needs: local storage (to save your folders and prompts on your device), access to claude.ai (to add the folders panel and search to the sidebar), and access to extensionpay.com (to handle the optional Pro upgrade).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
